...RED FLAG WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR WIND

AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR AREAS NEAR THE CHEYENNE RIDGE...



* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 238 and 242.



* TIMING...From 11 AM to 7 PM MDT Thursday.



* WINDS...Northwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.



* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent.



* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. 

  Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a 

  spark and start a wildfire.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions

are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of

strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can

contribute to extreme fire behavior.

AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR AREAS NEAR THE CHEYENNE RIDGE...



Surface observations have shown winds significantly decreasing

over the past hour. Some areas along the Wyoming/Colorado border

are still gusting up to 30 mph. However, this is not expected to

last much longer. For this reason, will let the Red Flag Warning

expire.
