...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SCHLEICHER AND NORTHERN SUTTON 

COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM CDT...



At 655 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms in 

western Schleicher County and northwestern Sutton County, about 15 

miles northwest of Sonora, moving east at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Sonora, Eldorado, Adams, Interstate 10 in Sutton County, Highway 190 

in Schleicher County, and Highway 277 between Eldorado and Sonora. 



People attending Eldorado Larry Mitchell Stadium should seek safe

shelter immediately!



This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 380 and 433.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead 

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 

roadways.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for

west central Texas.
