...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT MENARD COUNTY THROUGH 730 PM 

CDT...



At 634 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms 9 

miles northeast of Camp Sol Mayer, or about 10 miles west of Menard, 

moving east at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Menard, Hext, Fort Mckavett, Camp Sol Mayer, and Highways 190, 83 

and 29. 



People attending the football game at Menard Findlay Field should 

seek safe shelter. 



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead 

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 

roadways.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for

west central Texas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in

effect until midnight CDT for west central Texas.
