...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMs WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CALLAHAN 

AND SHACKELFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM CDT...



At 602 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms from 

northern Shackelford south into central Callahan counties, moving 

east at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Albany, Baird, Moran, Putnam, Atwell, Ibex, Rowden, Fort Griffin,

Mccarty Lake, Us-283 Near The Callahan-Shackelford County Line, Us-

180 Near The Shackelford-Stephens County Line, I-

20 Near The Callahan-Eastland County Line, and Admiral.



This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 303 and 323.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead 

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 

roadways.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for

west central Texas.
