MEIGS...SOUTHWESTERN MCMINN AND NORTHEASTERN HAMILTON COUNTIES

THROUGH 915 AM EDT...



At 825 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong

thunderstorms 8 miles northeast of Lakesite, or 10 miles northwest of

Cleveland, moving east at 10 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Cleveland, Charleston, Calhoun, Hillsview, Hopewell, Birchwood, Big

Spring, Tasso, and Sale Creek.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



This storm may intensify, so closely monitor for additional

information or possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
