...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL PECOS COUNTY

THROUGH 200 PM CDT...



At 122 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 18

miles northwest of Sheffield, moving northeast at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Iraan and Iraan Municipal Airport.



This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 303 and 317.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for

southwestern Texas.
