...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MITCHELL...

SCURRY...BORDEN...NORTHEASTERN MARTIN...NORTHERN HOWARD AND

SOUTHEASTERN DAWSON COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM CDT...



At 803 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7

miles northeast of J B Thomas Reservoir, or 11 miles west of Snyder,

moving northeast at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.

Big Spring, Snyder, Ackerly, Gail, Fluvanna, J B Thomas Reservoir,

Luther, Sparenberg, Vincent, Hermleigh, Randalls Corner, Winston

Field, Cuthbert, Knapp, Dunn, Knott, Ira, and Vealmoor.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
