EASTERN CASTRO...SOUTHWESTERN HALL...SWISHER...BRISCOE AND

NORTHEASTERN LAMB COUNTIES THROUGH 300 AM CDT...



At 211 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from 10 miles northwest of Tulia to 7 miles

southeast of Silverton. Movement was south at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Plainview, Tulia, Floydada, Hale Center, Olton, Hart, Silverton,

Caprock Canyon State Park, Lockney, Kress, Happy, Quitaque, Vigo

Park, Claytonville, Dougherty, Aiken, Halfway, South Plains,

Mackenzie Reservoir, and Valley Schools.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
