...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of McLennan, eastern

Coryell, southeastern Bosque, central Bell and southwestern Hill

Counties through 1015 PM CDT...



At 920 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from Laguna Park to near Fort Hood. Movement was

east at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Strong thunderstorms will be near...

  Killeen, Fort Hood, Laguna Park, Valley Mills, and Crawford around 

  925 PM CDT.

  Harker Heights, McGregor, and Belton Lake around 930 PM CDT.

  Nolanville around 935 PM CDT.

  Waco, Mother Neff State Park, and Lake Waco around 940 PM CDT.

  Morgan's Point Resort and West around 950 PM CDT.

  Temple, Belton, Woodway, and Moody around 955 PM CDT.

  Lacy-Lakeview around 1000 PM CDT.

  Hewitt around 1005 PM CDT.



Other locations impacted by these storms include Whitson, Rock Creek,

Moffat, Willow Grove, Cedar Shores, Oglesby, Owl Creek, Meadow Grove,

Woodland, and Gholson.



This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 284 and 301, between

mile markers 315 and 317, and between mile markers 319 and 361.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

shelter inside a building or vehicle.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for

central Texas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect

until 300 AM CDT for central Texas.
