...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern Kinney,

southwestern Edwards and east central Val Verde Counties through 245

AM CDT...



At 158 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12

miles north of Amanda, or 15 miles northeast of Del Rio, moving

northeast at 60 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Kickapoo Cavern State Park.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for

south central Texas.
