...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT KENDALL...CENTRAL LA SALLE AND

NORTHERN GRUNDY COUNTIES THROUGH 815 PM CDT...



At 753 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from near Plano to near Newark to 6 miles east of

Sheridan to 7 miles southeast of Serena to near Grand Ridge. Movement

was east at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Oswego, Seneca, Lisbon, Kangley, Grand Ridge, Millbrook, Leonore,

Ransom, Marseilles, Kinsman, Plattville, Yorkville, Morris, Newark,

Plano, Minooka, Streator, Ottawa, Sandwich, and Joliet.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for

north central and northeastern Illinois.
