...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MITCHELL...

SOUTHWESTERN JEWELL...SOUTHEASTERN SMITH AND NORTHEASTERN OSBORNE

COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM CDT...



At 427 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7

miles northeast of Portis, or 30 miles northwest of Beloit, moving

southeast at 5 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern

Mitchell, southwestern Jewell, southeastern Smith and northeastern

Osborne Counties.
