...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Bureau

and Putnam Counties through 745 PM CDT...



At 720 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from Dalzell to near Granville to near Henry.

Movement was east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Hennepin, Spring Valley, DePue, Granville, Ladd, Dalzell, McNabb,

Putnam, Mark, Magnolia, Standard, Florid, and Ottville.



This includes Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 69 and

72.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

shelter inside a building or vehicle.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for

north central Illinois.
