...Showers and thunderstorms will impact portions of northern Henry, 

northwestern Des Moines, eastern Washington, Muscatine, southern 

Cedar, western Louisa and southeastern Johnson Counties through 530 

PM CDT...



At 455 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking thunderstorms along a line

extending from near Iowa City to near Olds. Movement was east at 40

mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Strong winds could break tree limbs, knock down weak trees 

         and blow around unsecured objects. Blowing dust is possible 

         near agricultural fields.



Locations impacted include...

Iowa City, Muscatine, Washington, Columbus Junction, West Liberty,

Wilton, Kalona, Lone Tree, Winfield, Riverside, Fruitland, Wayland,

Hills, Ainsworth, Grandview, Conesville, Columbus City, Letts,

Nichols, and Atalissa.



This includes Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 263 and 274.
