GREENVILLE...CENTRAL SPARTANBURG AND NORTHEASTERN ANDERSON COUNTIES 

THROUGH 1115 AM EDT...



At 1027 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms 

along a line extending from near Downmtown Greenville to 8 miles 

northeast of Anderson. Movement was east at 40 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Greenville, Spartanburg, Greer, Simpsonville, Williamston, West 

Pelzer, GSP Airport, Moore, USC Upstate, Reidville, and Wellford.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

stations and available television stations for additional information

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
