...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Rockdale,

southeastern DeKalb, southern Gwinnett, north central Henry, western

Walton and north central Newton Counties through 230 PM EDT...



At 145 PM EDT, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line

extending from Tucker to Rex, and moving east at 30 mph.



HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and 

         heavy rain.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of 

         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary 

         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Walnut Grove, Windsor, Harbin, Nicholasville, Belmont, Arabia

Mountain, Big Haynes Creek Park, Rosebud, Hidden Valley Park, Pine

Lake, Loganville, Jersey, Conyers, Grayson, Oxford, Snapfinger,

Snellville, Bold Springs, Almon, and Between.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear

thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists

should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to

hydroplaning.



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for north central

Georgia.
