...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Lee, northwestern

Calhoun, southeastern Lexington, Sumter, southeastern Richland and

south central Kershaw Counties through 700 PM EDT...



At 553 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from 9 miles southeast of Elgin to near Congaree

National Park. Movement was east at 40 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts 35 to 45 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Cane Savannah, Dalzell, Dinkins Mill, Manville, Spring Hill, Congaree

National Park, Mayesville, Lynchburg, Hopkins, Oakland, Wedgewood,

Boykin, Woods Bay State Park, Sumter, McEntire Air Base, Cherryvale,

Wateree River Correctional Institution, Elliott, Horrel Hill, and

Stateburg.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 103 and 126.

 Interstate 26 between mile markers 128 and 132.

 Interstate 95 between mile markers 135 and 146.
