...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM MONDAY...



* WHAT...Very cold wind chills, as low as 5 below zero across the 

  North Carolina mountains and as low as 5 degrees east of the 

  mountains, are expected.



* WHERE...Portions of western North Carolina and portions of the 

  South Carolina Upstate.



* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST Monday.



* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills near or below zero could result in 

  hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a 

hat, and gloves.



Keep pets indoors as much as possible.



Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure 

portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills 

inside.
