Temperatures have risen above freezing this morning, so the 

threat has ended.



Based on observed freezing temperatures early this morning, the 

growing season has been declared over across western portions of the 

area including Amelia, Caroline, Cumberland, Goochland, western 

Hanover, Lunenburg, Nottoway, Powhatan, and Prince Edward counties. 

Therefore, no additional Frost/Freeze headlines will be issued for 

these areas until Spring 2026.
