...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT

FOR EASTERN SUTTON COUNTY...



At 823 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 14 miles south of

The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2596 And Ranch Road 864, or 17 miles

southeast of Sonora, moving east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 

         roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2596 And Ranch Road 864 and Us-

277 Near The Sutton-Edwards County Line.



This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 403 and 433.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People 

outside should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away 

from windows.



Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to

be struck by lightning.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
