The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out 

of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for northeastern

Mississippi.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM CDT FOR

NORTHWESTERN ITAWAMBA...NORTHERN LEE...SOUTHERN TISHOMINGO...PRENTISS

AND SOUTHEASTERN ALCORN COUNTIES...



At 918 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

was located near Thrashers, or near Booneville, moving northeast at

45 mph.



HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 

         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 

         likely.



Locations impacted include...

Saltillo, Thrasher, Paden, Biggersville, Rienzi, Kirkville,

Thrashers, Gaston, Hinkle, Carter Branch, Burton, Holcut, Baldwyn,

Geeville, Hobo Station, Holts Spur, Wheeler, Pratts Friendship,

Tishomingo, and Beech Springs.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a storm shelter or an interior room on the

lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are

outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest

substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
