ITAWAMBA...NORTHERN LEE AND SOUTHWESTERN PRENTISS COUNTIES...



At 728 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over New Harmony, or

8 miles southeast of New Albany, moving northeast at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind 

         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

Graham, Endville, New Harmony, Pratts Friendship, Beech Springs,

Union Hill, Ecru, Martintown, Alpine, Corrona, Graves, Unity, Indian

Hills, Parks, Frankstown, Bethany, Saltillo, Jericho, Cherry Creek,

and Branyan.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for northeastern

Mississippi.



Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly

from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the

storm shelter or small central room in a sturdy structure.

building.
