FOR NORTHEASTERN GALVESTON...CHAMBERS AND SOUTHEASTERN LIBERTY

COUNTIES...



At 513 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from near Spurger to Beaumont to 18 miles southeast of

Bolivar Peninsula, moving east at 45 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

Texas City, La Marque, Hitchcock, Pelican Island, High Island,

Crystal Beach, Port Bolivar, Smith Point, Gilchrist, Rollover Pass,

Bolivar Peninsula, Stowell, Winnie, Galveston Island East End, and

Oak Island.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly

from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the

basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

street flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
