SOUTHEASTERN HARRIS COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...



The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned 

area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT for

southeastern Texas.

FOR NORTHEASTERN GALVESTON...CHAMBERS AND SOUTHEASTERN LIBERTY

COUNTIES...



At 456 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from Woodville to near Sour Lake to 9 miles east of

Galveston Pleasure Pier, moving east at 45 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

Texas City, La Marque, Hitchcock, Anahuac, Devers, Pelican Island,

High Island, Crystal Beach, Port Bolivar, Smith Point, Gilchrist,

Rollover Pass, Bolivar Peninsula, Stowell, Winnie, San Leon,

Galveston Island East End, Oak Island, and Hankamer.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly

from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the

basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

street flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
