SOUTHWESTERN CLINTON AND NORTHWESTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES IN SOUTH

CENTRAL ILLINOIS...



At 318 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles south of New

Memphis, or 10 miles south of New Baden, moving east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to

         roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

  New Baden, New Memphis, Johannisburg, Venedy, Albers, Stone Church,

  Damiansville, Okawville, Germantown, Addieville, Frogtown, Cordes

  and Bartelso.



This includes Interstate 64 in Illinois between exits 34 and 41.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from

windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large

hail.
