...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM CDT

FOR CENTRAL MADISON COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS...



At 1108 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Bethalto,

moving east at 55 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to

         roofs, siding, and trees.



This severe thunderstorm will be near...

  Bethalto, Wood River, Edwardsville, Roxana, Rosewood Heights, South

  Roxana, East Alton, Hartford, Alton and West Alton around 1110 PM

  CDT.

  Carpenter, Worden and Glen Carbon around 1115 PM CDT.



Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Poag,

Hamel, Fruit, Kuhn and Kaufman.



This includes the following highways...

Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 23 and 33. Interstate 70 in

Illinois near exit 21.
