of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 AM EDT FOR

NORTHEASTERN SPALDING AND SOUTHWESTERN HENRY COUNTIES...



At 740 AM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Sunny Side, or 7

miles north of Griffin, moving northeast at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Damaging tornado.



SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.



IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 

         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 

         likely.



Locations impacted include...

Highland Mills, Blacksville, Towalaga, Luella, Atlanta Motor

Speedway, Experiment, Sunny Side, McDonough, Hampton, Locust Grove,

and Griffin.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a

basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy

building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in

a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect

yourself from flying debris.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
