...ANOTHER GULF LOW WILL BRING BANDS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW 

ACROSS PORTIONS OF KODIAK ISLAND THROUGH THIS EVENING...



A low east of Kodiak Island will bring bands of snow showers into

the eastern side of Kodiak and Afognak Islands through this 

evening. As of early Saturday afternoon these snow showers have 

been just east of Kodiak Island, but are now starting to move on 

shore.



The strong and gusty northwest winds will also continue as the 

snow showers move through this afternoon and tonight. The 

resulting blowing snow may bring sudden periods of lower 

visibility as low as one half mile at times in these snow showers.

Snow showers, winds, and reduced visibility is expected to begin 

improving late after midnight.
