Snow accumulations at sea level have been rather low from Icy Strait and Juneau southward due to temperatures at sea level already reaching the mid 30s this morning with temperatures continuing to be steady or slowly rising into midday. That temperature trend is expected to continue this afternoon so any additional snow accumulation is expected to be light. Haines and Yakutat, in contrast have been below freezing all morning and with various reports of 4 to 6 inches in the Haines and Haines Highway area this morning and around 5 inches at Yakutat. Yakutat will have the precip diminish through the afternoon. Haines is expected to stay snow into the evening.
