The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Northeastern Harding County in northeastern New Mexico...

  Central Union County in northeastern New Mexico...



* Until 600 PM MDT.



* At 513 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles north of 

  Bueyeros, or 31 miles northwest of Amistad, moving southeast at 15 

  mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind

           damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



* Locations impacted include...

  Mainly rural areas of Northeastern Harding and Central Union 

  Counties.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from 

windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large 

hail.



Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and 

hazardous driving conditions.
