The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  West central Pecos County in southwestern Texas...

  Northern Brewster County in southwestern Texas...

  East central Jeff Davis County in southwestern Texas...



* Until 345 PM CDT.



* At 300 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 25 miles northeast

  of Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport, or 25 miles northeast of

  Alpine, moving northeast at 40 mph.



  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 

           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of

  west central Pecos, northern Brewster and east central Jeff Davis

  Counties.



This includes Interstate 10 near mile marker 238.
