  Central Franklin County in Big Bend Florida...



* Until 1230 PM EDT.



* At 1123 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near

  Apalachicola, moving northeast at 35 mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



* Locations impacted include...

  Nine Mile, Carrabelle Beach, Franklin, Royal Bluff, High Bluff,

  Yent Place, Eleven Mile, St George Island St Pk, St George Island,

  Tilton, Green Point, Carrabelle, Eastpoint, Bay City, Lanark

  Village, Apalachicola Airport, Apalachicola, and Creels.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



Damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are 

occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is 

one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, 

you are close enough to be struck by lightning.



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM EDT for Big Bend and

the Panhandle of Florida.
