The National Weather Service in League City has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM...



* Until 730 AM CDT.



* At 648 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing

  waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Heald

  Bank to 6 nm east of High Island A142 to Galveston A156, moving

  southeast at 25 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Tabs Buoy F, Heald Bank, High Island A131, High Island A142, High

  Island A23, High Island A410, High Island A61, High Island A80,

  High Island A457, Galveston A156, High Island A109, and Galveston

  A66.

expected.
