...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CHST MONDAY...



* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 9 to 11 feet.



* WHERE...North facing reefs of Pohnpei and Kosrae.



* WHEN...Until 3 AM ChST Monday.



* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and

  localized beach erosion.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Latest model guidance indicates long-

  period north to northeast swell will generate hazardous surf

  along north facing reefs of Pohnpei and Kosrae through the

  weekend, with both swells and surf expected to diminish early

  next week.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to

dangerous surf conditions.
