...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CHST WEDNESDAY...



* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet.



* WHERE...North facing reefs of Pohnpei.



* WHEN...Until 3 AM ChST Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and

  localized beach erosion.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A trade-wind surge is generating a trade swell

  that is expected to bring hazardous surf to north facing reefs of

  Pohnpei. Surf will subside below hazardous levels late Tuesday

  night.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to

dangerous surf conditions.
