  Kaiwi Channel...

  Maalaea Bay...

  Maui County Leeward Waters...

  Maui County Windward Waters...

  Pailolo Channel...



* Until 915 AM HST.



* At 810 AM HST, a broad line of thunderstorms extends across waters 

  around Maui, Molokai, and Lanai. Individual thunderstorms in this 

  area were moving north to northeast at 20 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Laau Point, Kalaupapa, Cape Halawa, Shipwreck Beach, Ilio Point,

  FAD Buoy K, Kahului Harbor, and FAD Buoy O.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding

downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are

wearing life jackets.



Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the 

open water, stay below deck if possible.
