...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Washington...



  Snoqualmie River Near Carnation affecting King County.



  Snoqualmie River Near Snoqualmie Falls affecting King County.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Snoqualmie River near Carnation.



* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 60.0 feet, the Snoqualmie River will cause severe 

  near record flooding from Fall City downstream through Carnation 

  and Duvall. Deep and swift flood waters will inundate many farms...

  residential areas...and roads.  Flooding will occur all along the 

  river including headwaters...tributaries...and other streams 

  within and near the Snoqualmie River Basin.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:15 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 59.8 feet.

  - Flood stage is 54.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 9:15 PM PST Wednesday was 59.8 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will rise, cresting at around 60.6 feet

    late tonight. It will begin to slowly fall tomorrow, falling

    below flood stage by early Friday afternoon.

* WHERE...Snoqualmie River near Snoqualmie Falls.



* WHEN...Until Friday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 70,000.0 cfs, the Snoqualmie River will cause severe 

  near record flooding from the town of Snoqualmie downstream 

  through Fall City. Flooding will occur all along the river 

  including headwaters...tributaries...and other streams within and 

  near the Snoqualmie River Basin. This river level on the 

  Snoqualmie corresponds to a phase 4 flood in the King County flood 

  system.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:15 PM PST Wednesday the flow was 59,100.0 cfs.

  - Flood flow is 20,000.0 cfs.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours

    ending at 9:15 PM PST Wednesday was 70,000.0 cfs.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 76000

    cfs late tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood

    stage late tomorrow evening.
