...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Washington...



  Nisqually River Near National affecting Lewis and Pierce Counties.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY FRIDAY AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...Nisqually River near National.



* WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 10,000.0 cfs, the Nisqually River will flood along 

  the upper reaches of the river from Mt Rainier National Park 

  downstream to Alder Lake. Swift waters will flood roads...pasture 

  lands...and farms. Erosion may damage the river banks.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 5:00 PM PST Wednesday the flow was 8,754.0 cfs.

  - Flood flow is 8,000.0 cfs.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours

    ending at 5:00 PM PST Wednesday was 15,000.0 cfs.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to crest at 13,400 cfs

    Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early

    Friday morning.
