...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Washington...



  Elwha River At McDonald Bridge affecting Clallam County.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW MORNING...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Elwha River at McDonald Bridge.



* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.



* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, the Elwha River will flood roads and 

  pasture lands along the river...with flood waters encroaching on 

  some residential areas.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 4:00 PM PST Wednesday the stage was 18.5 feet.

  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise. It will then fall

    below flood stage just after midnight tonight to 20.5 feet

    late this evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    20.4 feet on 11/23/1986.
