...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 

  rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 

  county, Tom Green.



* WHEN...Until 830 PM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is 

  imminent.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 525 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to

    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream

    flooding.

  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected

    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor

    flooding.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    San Angelo, Christoval, Wall, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Lake

    Nasworthy, Twin Buttes Reservoir, Vancourt, Veribest,

    Knickerbocker, Tankersley, Mereta and Us-67 Near The Irion-

    Tom Green County Line.

  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...

    Jackson From Knickerbocker to South Bryant, College Hills and

    Millbrook, Southwest Blvd and Loop 306, 1500 Block of

    Spaulding, FM 1692 crossing Concho River, Sul Ross At Red

    Arroyo Crossing, FM 2334 crossing Ninemile Creek, FM 2334

    crossing Dry Lipan Creek, Huntington and Sunset and

    Huntington and Sunset.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you NWSSanAngelocan do so safely.
