...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 

  rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 

  county, Irion.



* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 455 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to

    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream

    flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.

  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected

    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor

    flooding.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Mertzon, Sherwood, Barnhart, Arden and Us-67 Near The Irion-

    Tom Green County Line.

  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...

    RM 853 crossing Dry Draw, Ranch Road 853 crossing east Rocky

    Creek, Ranch Road 859 crossing west Rocky Creek, Ranch Road

    853 crossing Middle Concho River, County Road 113 crossing

    Dove Creek, crossings along County Road 411, crossings along

    County Road 302, County Road 202 crossing Lopez Creek,

    Sherwood Cemetery crossing and County Road 202 crossing

    Spring Creek.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
