  Elk River Near Prospect affecting Limestone and Giles Counties.



For the Elk River...including Prospect...elevated river levels are 

forecast.

alternative route.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...Elk River near Prospect.



* WHEN...From this afternoon to early tomorrow afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Water continues to impact low lying and 

  agricultural areas along the river across southeast Giles County.





* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 4:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 22.7 feet and rising.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise close to 23.5 feet

    before starting to fall later tonight.

  - Action stage is 22.0 feet.

  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
