Mississippi...



  Tombigbee River at Bigbee



  Tombigbee River near Amory



For the Tombigbee River...including Bigbee, Amory...Minor flooding 

is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Tombigbee River at Bigbee.



* WHEN...Until Friday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Water is flowing over portions of Hood 

  Road and extensive agricultural flooding is occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 2:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 15.2 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 2:30 AM CDT Monday was 15.8 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.2

    feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood

    stage early Friday morning.

  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Tombigbee River near Amory.



* WHEN...Until late this evening.



* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Most lowland and farm land near the river 

  is flooded. Equipment and livestock may need to be moved to higher 

  ground.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 2:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 22.6 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 2:15 AM CDT Monday was 23.3 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

    late this afternoon and continue falling to 13.5 feet early

    Saturday morning.

  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
