For the Obion River...including Obion...Moderate flooding is 

forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...



* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast. This approaches the flood of record.



* WHERE...Obion River near Obion.



* WHEN...Until further notice.



* IMPACTS...At 39.6 feet, Extensive flooding is occurring in the 

  community of Obion. Agricultural land on both banks of the river 

  is extensively flooded. Evacuations are necessary in Obion and 

  Rives.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 10:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 39.5 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 10:00 PM CDT Sunday was 39.5 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will rise to 40.0 feet tomorrow morning.

    It will then fall early Tuesday afternoon. It will rise to

    39.5 feet early Wednesday afternoon. It will then fall again

    but remain above flood stage.

  - Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
