...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Arkansas...



  Arkansas River At Pendleton affecting Arkansas, Desha and Lincoln 

  Counties.



For the Arkansas River...including Pendleton...Moderate flooding is 

forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



River forecasts are based on current conditions and rainfall 

forecasted to occur over the next 24 hours. During periods of 

flooding...Evening forecasts are reissued with updated rainfall 

forecasts.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON TO FRIDAY 

AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Arkansas River at Pendleton.



* WHEN...From Monday afternoon to Friday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 32.0 feet, Area access roads on right descending bank 

  upstream and downstream of the bridge are flooded. Property inside 

  the levee in the Pendeleton area is threatened and should be 

  removed.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 7:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 26.9 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    early Monday afternoon to a crest of 32.0 feet early Tuesday

    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Thursday

    morning.

  - Flood stage is 31.0 feet.
