...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in 

Alabama...



  Tombigbee River At Gainesville Lock and Dam affecting Marengo, 

  Sumter and Greene Counties.



.Flooding continues on the Tombigbee River and a flood warning 

remains in effect.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Tombigbee River at Gainesville Lock and Dam.



* WHEN...Until Friday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 101.0 feet, Flooding of low lying agricultural and 

  wooded lands in the area occurs.

  At 109.0 feet, Flooding of some camps and cabins...as well as 

  widespread flooding of low-lying woods and agricultural lands...

  occurs, especially upstream of the lock and dam.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 100.4 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    late this morning to a crest of 102.7 feet Wednesday morning.

    It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.

  - Flood stage is 101.0 feet.
