...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in 

Alabama...



  Cahaba River Near Cahaba Heights affecting Jefferson, Bibb and 

  Shelby Counties.



.Heavy rainfall along the Cahaba River is expected to produce rises 

into minor flood stage at Cahaba Heights.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO LATE TUESDAY 

MORNING...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Cahaba River near Cahaba Heights.



* WHEN...From late tonight to late Tuesday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 14 feet, Minor flooding occurs in the Cahaba Heights 

  area.

  At 17 feet, Flooding of some commercial property in the area 

  begins as stages continues to rise.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 2.6 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    late tonight to a crest of 17.0 feet early tomorrow

    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow

    evening.

  - Flood stage is 14 feet.
