  Gasconade River at Jerome affecting Phelps County.



For the Gasconade River...including Jerome, Hazelgreen...Minor 

flooding is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, flood waters affect low lying residential 

  areas.





* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 6:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 17.6 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 6:45 AM CDT Monday was 17.7 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

    early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 4.4 feet

    Saturday morning.

  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    17.6 feet on 03/14/2021.
