...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

Illinois...



  Wabash River at New Harmony affecting Posey, Wabash, Gibson, 

  White and Gallatin Counties.



.Very heavy rainfall ranging from 6 to 8 inches fell across the 

Wabash River basin over the past week. This will keep river levels 

elevated over at least the next week. Moderate flooding is forecast 

at New Harmony with a crest around 21.7 feet early next week.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...Wabash River at New Harmony.



* WHEN...Until further notice.



* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, The river is 3 miles wide at I-64.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 10:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 17.5 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.7

    feet Tuesday, April 15.

  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
