...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in 

Kentucky...



  Green River at Calhoun affecting Webster and McLean Counties.



  Green River at Paradise affecting Muhlenberg County.



.Very heavy rainfall ranging from 8 to 15 inches fell across the 

Green River basin over the past week. This is resulting in major to 

near record flooding along the Green River this week. Paradise is 

now forecast to crest within 0.3 feet of the record crest set back 

in 1962.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

  - At 9:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 32.2 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 34.8

    feet early Thursday afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    34.4 feet on 03/11/1997.
